A huge thank you to all the volunteers tonight!!!  I know some of you step up every time and it doesn't go unnoticed, thank you for all you do for our swimmers.

Tomorrow at the end of practice Coach Dave and I will sit and make meet selections for this Saturday.  Please go into Swimtopia and declare your swimmer available or unavailable.  You can do this for all A meets but please do so for this weekend ASAP.  For those who don't know how we select swimmers for A meets, here's how it works:

1. Tuesday morning (after Monday night's B meet where all swimmers have an opportunity to improve their times) Coach Dave and I meet and make the selections for the following Saturday.  Each event has three swimmers from each team.  Each swimmer can only swim two individual events.  We will check Swimtopia to verify who is unavailable and go from there.  As the season progresses we compare our times with those of our opponents.  
2. Once Dave and I have selected swimmers we will send those selections to all families.  PLEASE CHECK THE SELECTIONS.  If you see your swimmer and they are unavailable please email us ASAP.  We will make changes as needed throughout Wednesday and even Thursday.  We will send another firm entry list on Thursday.   PLEASE CHECK THE SELECTIONS AGAIN.  Events may have shifted based on availability.
3. Thursday evening by 6 pm we must send our firm entries to the division data coordinator who merges our entries with our opponents and sends us the meet.  Once we send those firm entries we cannot make changes.  We can scratch a swimmer and substitute a slower swimmer but we can't move swimmers around.  If your swimmer is ill or can't make it, please email us ASAP.  

When you check the events and see that your child is swimming, please go to the meet in Swimtopia and volunteer.  I love that so many of you showed up on the deck tonight and asked what you could help with.  However, it is much more helpful if you sign up and we know that those jobs are covered.  For A meets we have to submit a list of all officials at the beginning of the meet and it would be great if the ink was dry.  We had a couple emergencies and unforeseen conflicts tonight and you stepped up in a big way, thank you!
