Hello, Parents of our Younger Swimmers!  The entries for the Woodley Mini-Meet are now up and open!  What is the Woodley Mini Meet?  I'm so glad you asked :)  The Woodley Mini-Meet is held Sunday, July 22nd, and is an opportunity for our youngest swimmers to swim against other swimmers their own age and level.  For those that are involved in dive: yes, it is the same day as Crackerjack, yes, there are choices to be made.  This meet has special rules so here are some important details:

1.  At this meet, swimmers swim the age they are on that day.  For all our other meets our swimmers swim the age they are on June 1st but for this meet they swim their actual age on the date of the meet which is July 22nd.  6&unders swim together, then 7 year olds, 8, 9, and 10.  

2.  There are kickboard and assisted freestyle events but if a swimmer chooses one of these events it is the only thing they are allowed to swim.  If they need a kickboard or assistance in freestyle then they are not capable of swimming the other strokes.  Choose wisely :)  The order of events is freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly.

3.  Swimmers may swim up to, and no more than, 3 events.  This is an invitational so there is a fee.  Each event is $5, all fees should be paid to Jamie and she will write a check for our entries on the day of the meet.  You can paypal to [email protected] or find her on the deck with cash or check.

4.  To allow opportunities for our developing swimmers, ribbons are award by heat. There are also medals for the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each event.  Swimmers who are faster than last year's All Star cut off times are not eligible to swim, please see the chart below.

5. Finally, of course, we need volunteers.  Children 8 years and older are allowed to be runners, and timers can be 12 or older so this might be a great opportunity for older siblings to be involved.
